“This play truly breaks down barriers.”
The Guardian on This Flesh Is Mine
Join us for the return of Brian Woolland’s critically-acclaimed play This Flesh is Mine, based on Homer’s Iliad, and the world premiere of its sequel When Nobody Returns, based on the Odyssey. The shows make up the Ilium and Ithaka season, and are site-specific immersive productions so please note that seat numbers will not be issued.
Book to see both shows and save 30%.
Each play in the Ilium and Ithaka series can be enjoyed on its own or you can book a two-play package to see both shows on separate nights or in a special weekend double bill. There is a break between the two shows of 1 hour and 45 minutes.
On weekdays, enjoy homemade Palestinian food from local Palestinian cafe Maramia before the show and during weekend performances food will also be available between performances. Book your meal for just £6.50 when you book your ticket online and then pick it up from an hour before. You are very welcome to eat your food from Maramia in our bar.
You can also come to free talks around the issues raised in the plays and relax in our Middle Eastern bar after the performance. Guest speakers will include Zoe Lafferty (director of Queens of Syria ) David Wilson (founder of War Child).
